Pastor Greta is the pastor of The Rock Worship Center in Houston, TX, which is the mother church of The Rock Worship Center-Butebo. Okudo James

Pastor Okudo James

Kanyum, Butebo District, Uganda

During his childhood, Pastor Okudo James was a neglected child who lived on the streets in the village of Kanyum. He fought to overcome poverty and oppression, pursued education to become a teacher and Head Master, and gave his life to the Lord at age 12. His personal experience drives his passion to help children enduring what he went through.

How It All Began

After God connected Pastor Greta with Pastor Okudo James, He orchestrated a series of events that resulted in the birth of our orphanage, school and ministry in Butebo.

Because of the challenges and hardships that Pastor James experienced growing up on the streets, he has a heart and strong desire to help children that are enduring what he went through as a child. He began to minister to some of the orphaned and neglected children in his village at his home and church, soliciting help from others in his village and church.

After much prayer and fasting, The Rock Worship Center was birthed in 2019 in the village of Kanyum. When word got out that Pastor Greta and Pastor James were looking for land to purchase for an orphanage, school and church, people from the village and nearby villages began to bring children for Pastor James to care for.
